Summer Waterfalls Series: Evening Wander & Dip
Summer is officially waterfalls season! Join us for a series of midweek evening escapes as we hunt down the Peak District’s most stunning cascades.
The Plan
- Start Time: 6:00 PM sharp.
- Duration: Under 3 hours back in time for a late sunset.
- The Route: We’ll be alternating between iconic, popular spots and quiet, remote gems hidden off the beaten track.
The “Wild” Side
I’ll likely be stripping down to my shorts for a quick plunge! Swimming is entirely optional, but the invite is there if you fancy a refresh. To keep the vibe comfortable and private for everyone, we have one golden rule: If people are dipping, cameras and phones stay firmly in bags.
Accessibility & Terrain
- Challenge Level: Most walks are “easy-peasy,” though some might have a few scrambles or muddy bits to keep things interesting. They are designed to be achievable for almost everyone.
- Note on Accessibility: Due to the rugged Peak District terrain, many of these specific routes aren’t suitable for wheelchairs. However, I’m working on adding some accessible waterfall trips to the calendar soon!
- Facilities: Expect total wilderness. There are no cafes or toilets here just “executive outdoor facilities” (meaning every tree is a wee tree!).
