Meet Mini: Athlete, Instructor, and Your Guide to the Great Outdoors
With a career built on the move and a life lived outdoors, Mini represents the gold standard of modern multi-disciplinary leadership. It is rare to find an instructor who doesn’t just teach a sport, but has lived it. His journey didn’t begin in a classroom or a lecture hall; it began on the ramps, the trails, and the steep slopes, where He earned my stripes as a sponsored athlete in skateboarding, and snowboarding.
This history is the engine behind my coaching philosophy. Being a sponsored athlete requires more than just raw talent; it demands a disciplined approach to training, a deep understanding of body mechanics, and the mental resilience to push past plateaus. Mini has successfully distilled a lifetime of high-stakes experience into a coaching style that is accessible, safe, and profoundly effective for adventurers of all levels.
A Master of All Terrains
Based in the outdoor hub of Sheffield, we have leveraged the rugged beauty of the Peak District to become a truly multi-disciplinary guide. We don’t just hold certifications; We hold an exhaustive portfolio of expertise that allows me to support you through every season and across every terrain.
My current professional qualifications include:
- Vertical & Rock: Climbing Instructor and Hill and Moorland Leader.
- Wheels & Gravity: Mountain Bike Coach.
- Snow & Winter: Dual-discipline instructor in both Skiing and Snowboarding.
- Water & Precision: Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Instructor and Archery Instructor.
The Advantage of Cross-Training
In the world of outdoor instruction, “specialization” is often the norm, but my broad spectrum of skills offers a unique advantage to my clients. I understand the cross-pollination of movement: how the balance required for snowboarding aids a paddleboarder’s stability, or how the line-choice logic used in mountain biking translates to finding the perfect route up a climbing face.
Beyond the technical skills, Mini has been a qualified First Aid Instructor. This adds an indispensable layer of security to every session. Whether leading a group deep into the moorlands or teaching a beginner how to drop into a bowl at the skatepark, our students know they are in the hands of a professional who prioritizes safety as much as progression.
Coaching for Your Next Breakthrough
Coaching is defined by a “lifetime of training” passed on with patience, clarity, and a bit of wit. We understand the fear of the first descent and the frustration of a missed target because I have been there myself. The goal is to strip away the intimidation factor of outdoor sports, replacing it with a solid foundation of technique and confidence.
For those looking to transition from casual hobbyists to serious enthusiasts, We provide the roadmap. We don’t just teach you how to perform; we teach you how to think like an athlete. Based in Sheffield, Perfectly positioned to lead you on your next adventure—whether that’s hitting the local trails, scaling a gritstone edge, or mastering the art of the longbow.
