Master the Dark: Night Navigation Course
Don’t let the sunset end your adventure.
Step away from the safety of the trail and into the thrill of the night. The Master the Dark Night Navigation Course is designed to give you the confidence, skills, and precision to navigate complex terrain when visibility is reduced to zero. Whether you are an aspiring mountaineer, an ultra-runner, or a hiker who wants to be prepared for anything, this course will change the way you see—and survive—the outdoors.
This isn’t just about reading a map; it’s about trusting your compass, counting your paces, and keeping your head when the lights go out.
🌑 What You Will Learn
In this hands-on, field-based workshop, you will move beyond basic map reading. Under the guidance of expert mountain leaders, you will master:

- Pacing & Timing: Discover how to accurately judge distance covered over rough ground without visual references.
- Bearing Precision: Master the art of taking and walking on accurate bearings in pitch darkness.
- Contour Interpretation: Learn to “feel” the shape of the land through your feet and match it to your map.
- Relocation Strategies: A step-by-step protocol for what to do when you are truly lost and need to reset.
- Emergency Procedures: How to manage a group and call for help safely at night.
